If you want to gain new experiences, new skills then the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver program is for you. During the course you will get to explore some of diving’s top adventures and complete a deep and navigation dive plus three adventure dives that interest you most from the following list:

What do I need to start?

  • Minimum age : 15 (12 for PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)
  • PADI Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization)
  • Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can participate in the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course

  • If the participant answers yes to any of the medical questions listed then a signed clearance from a doctor, valid within 12 months will be required

For those students who have not dived for over 6 months we recommend that they also complete a Scuba Review.

The Scuba Review is a short refresher course including a review of the safety information you learned during your initial training along with a supervised skill session in confined water with your Instructor. It is also a good idea to get hold of a copy of the PADI Adventures In Diving Manual and complete the appropriate knowledge reviews for the Adventure Dives that interest you.

Can I also make PADI Enriched Air Dives in this course?

Two of your dives can also be combined with the Enriched Air Nitrox Course which will build your confidence as you extend your bottom time. By diving with enriched air rather than standard air you can extend your no decompression limits. This means more time underwater.

Continue your adventure on our day trips to Sail Rock, National Marine Park or Koh Tao for two days diving and five dives under the direct supervision of a PADI Instructor.

Where can I go from here?

The PADI Advanced Open Water Certification will allow you to participate in more advanced diving activities with a maximum recommended depth limit of 30 meters and continue on to the PADI Rescue Diver course.

PADI Adventure Dives can also count towards PADI Specialty Diver certifications. If you liked your Night Adventure Dive so much that you wanted to take a complete PADI Night Diver Specialty course, your Night Adventure Dive can count as the first dive of that specialty.
